The Latvian Sterilization and Hygiene Specialists Association (LSHSA) was founded in 2000. In 2005, infection control nurses and doctors joined us and we transformed into IKSA - Infection Control and Sterilization Association.
Our goals
to establish and develop education system in fields of decontamination and infection control,
to change attitude to decontamination and infection control processes through education.
Our tasks
to raise education levels through seminars and workshops,
to increase knowledge of staff through courses and staff exchange between CSSDs, Infection Control departments in different hospitals for new knowledge and experience,
to establish our own training program,
to participate in other international projects for educational programms.
